18 days until Training Camp!!!!!

78 days until LAUNCH!!!!!!

With every passing day I get more excited! God has abundantly blessed me through this process of fundraising and preparation and I am so excited to share this life-changing journey with all of you in just a few short weeks.

I would like to just take a few minutes of your time today, and tell you about the most recent thing God has showed me through reading His Word…

I am currently reading through the book of Esther. Most people know her story, but to shortly sum it up: Esther was a young orphan girl of Jewish decent who lived in Persia with her uncle. The Persian Queen disrespected the King and was removed from the throne. Shortly after, Esther was chosen as the new queen because of her astounding beauty. During her reign, the king’s advisor, Haman, plots the extermination of all the Jews in the empire. Esther risks her life in order to save her people. The story is an amazing showcase of God’s faithfulness to His people, as well as His ability to use ordinary people for His much greater purpose.

But one verse in particular stood out to me:

“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this” Esther 4:14 (NLT)

I believe wholeheartedly that God placed Esther exactly where she was at exactly the right time so she could play a role in the deliverance of the Jewish people from Haman.

BUT

I also believe that the Jew’s fate did not lie in the hands of Queen Esther. Even if she wouldn’t have approached the king about the matter, God still would have delivered His people.

God doesn’t need us to help Him complete His plans. Instead, He graciously invites us to join His work, not for His sake, but for our own.

Praise God that His plans will prevail no matter what I do or how I feel. Praise God that He doesn’t rely solely on me to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. (What a mess we would be in!!)

But, we have been invited.

We have been invited to partake in His plans that are ultimately so much greater than anything we could imagine (Ephesians 3:20). He wants to use us to advance the Kingdom. Just like Esther, He has placed us where we are for “such a time as this”. Our refusal to take part in God’s work doesn’t stop it from happening. Instead, it limits our privilege to take part in what He is doing.

God help us to not stay still, but to accept and follow every invitation that you lay before us.
