I would like to start out by saying, WOW!!! God has been doing incredible things in my life over the past few weeks and has answered my prayers in ways that I never imagined possible. So here’s a little look into how God wrecked my life…

I had a plan. I was going to go to college like a normal high school graduate. I was going to major in music education. I was going to graduate college and start my dream job as a choir director. I was going to meet the love of my life and start a family.

NEWSFLASH

“His thoughts are nothing like my thoughts…and His ways are far beyond anything I can imagine” Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT)

the more I prayed about my future, the more I asked for guidance, the more I begged for peace, the more God told me to wait.

One Saturday morning I was reading in Romans and came across Romans 15:20…Paul tells the Roman Church, “my ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else” (NLT). And God hit me like a ton of bricks.

He calls me to follow him. (Luke 9:23-24)

He calls me to be different. (Romans 12:2)

He calls me to trust. (Mark 5:36)

He calls me to make disciples. (Matthew 28:19-20)

He calls me to seek His will over my own. (Matthew 6:33)

So I will be leaving in September to travel to Ethiopia, Cambodia, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua for 9 months!! To help further the Kingdom!!

I believe more than anything that I am right where God wants me to be. I just had to let go of what I wanted. My plans weren’t bad or wrong, they just aren’t the plans that God has for me right now.

This life. The one I am living. That God has called me to. Despite my failures. He is good. He is grace. And He is calling us to greatness.

We just have to be listening and willing to respond.
