1. Learn how to go a week without washing your hair.

Bucket showers are a thing and you will soon realize: clean body > clean hair

2. Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Embrace who God made you to be!!

3. Write everything down.

every sermon, any information you are given, everything you did that day, etc. You will want it when you get back.

4. Baby wipes are your best friend.

Whether it’s for after the porta potty, eating with your hands during India day, or taking a “baby wipe shower”….They are a huge blessing and I highly recommend.

5.  Get to know your squad mates.

These people were hand picked by God to be your new family for 9 months. hug them, learn about them, laugh with them, and love them deeply.

6. Worship!!!! Worship!!!! Worship!!!!

sing until your throat aches, dance, cry, jump up and down

You are going to experience Christ’s presence like never before.

7. You’re going to be sweaty….all the time….just deal with it (baby wipes amiright??!!)

8. Your identity isn’t in what you’ve done, what you are doing, or even what others say about you. Your identity is found in Christ alone!

“He died for everyone so that those who receive His new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.” 2 Corinthians 5:15 (NLT)

The sooner you realize this truth – that your life is not your own, but instead God’s, and He can do whatever He wants with it – the sooner you will be living in freedom.

9. Comfort zones were meant to be broken.

10. You are about to experience the greatest 10 days of your life.

You will discover things about yourself that you didn’t even know were there.

You will meet 47 amazing people who will instantly become family.

You will take bucket showers and eat weird foods.

You will learn about different cultures and religions and how to evangelize to them.

You will fall deeply and utterly in love with the God who has called you to this amazing journey.

Soak in every moment.
